A person bond by fear

One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his surprises is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.

Henry Ford

Like the lady bond by a rope in the image above, fear holds a grip on many of us and goes as far as hindering our true happiness and putting a limit on how well we can live, and make the most out of life.

Simply put, fear is an unpleasant feeling or an emotion caused by a potential threat of danger, pain, or harm. When we fear something, we just don’t want it to happen. And the thought of it happening messes up our composure keeps us restless and could go on to give us sleepless nights.

In everyday life, we encounter fears like the fear of failure, when we think aloud, asking questions that start with What if an example, is “What if this thing I want to do doesn’t work out?”.

We begin to imagine failure and the fear then ties us down. Fears that are also common to the fear of failure, include the fear of poverty, we begin to feel financially insecure, and the fear of losing money which makes us hold back from making certain investments.

People tend to miss out on life-changing opportunities when presented to them because they try to avoid taking risks of any kind and always prefer to be in a comfort zone. They know what is good to be done, but end up not doing it because of fear of the unknown. In the end their happiness becomes interrupted by regrets as a result of fear.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Wishing is not enough, we must do.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

To to be able to successfully deal with our fears, we must first understand that every fear is learned. It is not a default nature of man or an in-built part of the human system. Let’s take, for instance, a little child will keep playing with fire till she gets a burn from it. and then that pain will always remind her not to get too close to the fire in the future.

She becomes conscious of the fact that the fire is able to harm her. This intuition creates a defense mechanism in her. She might now decide to never get close to any bright-looking object or prefer to stay in a poorly lit room.

If you are truly determined to deal with that fear holding you back and get well on your way to achieving great goals and success, you have to strongly decide to follow these actions below

Reform Your Mind

Everything about fear and courage starts and begins with your mind. To successfully deal with fear, you need to change your way of thinking. Become optimistic by removing the I can’t word from your mind, replacing them with I can. And start acting As if there’s nothing on planet earth that you can’t achieve

Use the Power of Imagination

Have you ever heard this statement “Your thoughts becomes your reality”?

Your life today is a general build-up of what you have been able to think and imagine from times in the past. As a little kid, I used to imagine myself own a website even when I didn’t have access to a mobile, and today here I am, on my blog!!! Tapping into the power of imagination is not a nut job. Just begin to see yourself as unafraid, and start conceiving bigger dreams. A time would come when you’d look back and realize that your fear has become inconsequential.

Confront Your Fear Immediately

Learn to stop running away from whatever gives you the chill of fright or any fear inducing situation. Face them off, walk towards them and you’ll realize that the closer you get to it, and the more time you spend with it, the smaller that fear becomes till its unable to hold a grip on you. Remember, when you keep running away from whatever you fear, the shadow becomes bigger and bigger till it consumes you.

Take Control

Take control of the way you think, resonate, and feel about yourself, including your belief system and expectations of what is possible for you. These factors determine everything that happens to you. The more you conquer your fears, the higher you boost your self-esteem and confidence. When these two factors of self-esteem and confidence are high in your system, you’d become more productive and live life better.
